I met Corrine about 2 years ago when I was lost trying to figure out all the machines at Retro. I remember she was so sweet and showed me to work that damn leg press machine. Ha!
I've since left Retro and Corrine's started a new job as well thanks to Instagram, I have followed along on their romance and now here they are ready to start a family. They are totally in love and it's so sweet to see! Can't wait to meet baby boy in a few weeks.Read More
There is something so special about capturing family sessions... yes, I give them the gift of memories and this time of year those images for their holiday cards and prints for their walls but really it's a gift to me. I walk away from each session with gratitude for my family, that I get to do what I love and to just have fun. Hudson and his parent's are definitely one of those families that I love to watch interact together. They are just fun people and they love this sweet funny little boy so much. It's awesome to capture.
And can we just agree that mom & Hudson have awesome hair?! I mean really, I need whatever vitamins you are taking.
I just noticed I haven't blogged since JULY! It's been crazy but all in a good way!
I couldn't wait for Julian's newborn session. I love that mom wanted to get outside! Newborn sessions can sometimes feel overwhelming but they don't have to be! I love the soft golden hour light and we lucked out with a warm day. My fave secret weapon the white noise app on my iphone and Julian slept like a champ.
Sweet little Julian, the little prince that completes this family. You will be so doted on and loved by your big sisters.
I just realized that the last 5 sessions I've blogged are all boys! So funny! They do melt your heart though, don't they?
Well, here's one more sweet boy that melts my heart...Happy Birthday Cameron!!
You would never know that we were being followed by some mean ass geese..:P
It was such a gorgeous day out, I am so happy we took Christian's newborn session outside. Bonus to being a summer baby! The fresh air had Christian nice and sleepy, no need for the baby shusher.
It's always fun to see the relationships between new siblings during our sessions. It's an adjustment and sometimes a shock to new siblings that this new baby is coming home with you and staying forever. Watching Emily with her little brother was so sweet to see. She couldn't wait to hold him and was so gentle with him. She's a natural! :)
It feels like yesterday that Brady's parents shared their good news that they were expecting during their holiday session. I am so excited for their beautiful family and their newest addition. Big sister Cameron is one of my fave little girls ever and to see how proud she was to hold her baby brother just made me melt. How can you not melt staring at that huge smile!!
Welcome to the world Brady!!
One of my favorite things to do is scout out new places for client sessions. Ok, so Ferry Road isn't that much of a secret spot but it's still one of my faves. Each time I go I find a new little corner that I love.
It was WINDY! Reminds me of beach vacas, wind in your hair while on the beach or on a boat. Reallly we were just hanging out on the Hudson. ;)
It's totally not a NJ thing to do a senior session like it is in other parts of the US. So when Maggie's mom called me asking for help, I was so excited to try my hand at a senior session. We had our hearts set on spring flowers and gardens but we also had a bit of schedule to keep so that Maggie could get her pledge applications in.
Headed down to the Boat Basin which is one of my fave spots. It's where I actually did my engagement sessions all those years ago. :P
We had so much fun! Wishing you all the best in Alabama Maggie!!
